Emma Charlotte

Emma Charlotte is a Member of the Sword Forge Collective 2022 – 2023.

Emma Charlotte is a Spoken Word Poet, UniSlam finalist and founder of Hear My Voice: the LGBTQ+ Poetry Night. When she isn’t doing fun poetry things, you can find her playing drunk speed chess, learning to love her thighs and failing her driving test seven times. She maintains that she is simply ‘too bisexual to drive’.

Emma is in her second year at Bath Spa University studying Creative Writing & Primary Education.

Although Emma is almost 22, she is still unsure of when to expect the conclusion of her teen-angst era. She hopes that her poetry about the patriarchy and the men who have wronged her would make Taylor Swift proud.

  • Founder and organiser of Hear My Voice, an LGBTQIA+ spoken word open mic based in Bath, England.
  • A competing member of the Bath Spa University UniSlam team who came 4th at UniSlam 2022.

Emma has exploded into the Bath spoken word scene, with such fiery passion and great control of a room – she is cool calm and collected whilst she takes you on a rollercoaster of emotion.
