BIOGRAPHY

Ellie Jenkins is a Bristolian poet studying Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. Her poetry straddles both page and stage, touching on everything from eating grief to politics. Her style takes the mundane and transforms it into something worth listening to (and not just because of her charming Bristol accent). Whether it’s a discussion on classism, sexuality, or the beauty of a ripe red pepper, Ellie Jenkins has probably got a poem for it. She hopes you will join her writing journey—though no promises that it will be a sane one!

TESTIMONIALS

Jenkins has the ability to balance grief on a knife edge in her poetry, simulating the real time anxiety of being overwhelmed by it. She makes grief so beautiful that you will find yourself craving it.

KATHRYN O’DRISCOLL, UK SLAM CHAMPION 2021.
